Miya Libman is a freshman presidential scholar at the George Washington University studying political science and French. She is also a member of the Elizabeth J Somers Women’s Leadership Program in the International Politics cohort. Miya got started in the world of advocacy through March for Our Lives in 2018 as a co-organizer in her hometown of Rochester, NY. Since then, she has worked as a volunteer with Students Demand Action and interned with the M.K. Gandhi Institute for Nonviolence working to spread empathy and techniques of nonviolent communication. If you happen to catch Miya in some free time, she’s probably watching Parks and Rec.
