The Greater Good Initiative strives to create policy solutions that hold these principles.

April 4, 2020

On a Facetime call at 3:00 AM, The Greater Good Initiative was founded by Tarina Ahuja and Adam Ashley. the momentum was there from the start, and that momentum certainly hasn’t slowed down.

We have witnessed the power of the power in policy, the power of youth, and most importantly the power of dynamic minds envisioning dynamic ideas. We are wholly committed to being the generation that brings the ideals of empathy and equity to the world of public policy.

POWERFUL VOICES,

POWERFUL POLICY.

Our Mission

The Greater Good Initiative is a youth-led policy think-tank with the mission of promoting youth engagement and mobilization in the policymaking process. Our goal is to autonomously create effective, sustainable, research-driven policy proposals and advocate them to legislators at the local, state, and federal levels. Our team is crafting these proposals and connecting with legislators and special interest groups to garner support from both sides of the aisle. We believe that it is of vital importance to shine a light on the innovative fresh new thinking that comes out of young minds. By equipping young people with professional policy writing and advocacy skills, The Greater Good Initiative is working to bring new voices into the world of politics.

What We Do

LISTEN

We listen to the youth voices and fight for the matters that affect us. From virtual town hall events to direct messages, we hear make youth ideas a reality through our policy.

WRITE

We put your ideas and concerns into writing through our policy fact sheets, briefs, and analyses. Through our five policy sectors, we aim to create powerful and realistic policy solutions.

ADVOCATE

We push for our policies on the local, state, and federal levels: working to effectively make our voices, youth voices, heard. Through advocacy, we make our policies and our voices heard.

THE POWER IS IN THE YOUTH
