Margaret is a senior at W.T. Woodson High School in Fairfax, Virginia. She plans to further her education with intent to study Economics and Philosophy in college. Margaret is particularly interested in humanities, pursuing her passions with involvement in Duke University’s Arete Initiative for Ethics and Philosophy and as President of Woodson’s History Honor Society. She is also active in the Young Investor’s Society, where she is building long-term investment and stock brokerage skills. Margaret is passionate about civic engagement, the founder of a non-profit organization that focuses on closing the gender gap in politics by teaching leadership skills to elementary and middle school aged girls. In her free time, she enjoys reading, working out, and playing both soccer and golf. Margaret plans to bring her passion for public service and engagement to college and beyond.
