Elizabeth Nguyen is a Co-Director of State and Local Advocacy for the Greater Good Initiative. She will be attending James Madison University as a Dingledine-Bluestone Scholar this fall. Lizzie is majoring in kinesiology with a minor in pre-medicine, and hopes to pursue a career in medicine or public health policy to serve the needs of underrepresented patients. At JMU, she is involved with the Madison Honors Leadership Council and Gamma Sigma Sigma sorority in their mission to connect with the greater Harrisonburg community through service and volunteering. Lizzie interned for the Ralph Northam for VA 2017 gubernatorial campaign and worked with AAPI Victory Fund, which sparked her interest in grassroots advocacy for the advancement of healthcare and drug regulation policy. Outside of politics and policy, Lizzie is a huge sports fan (Go Birds!)—so much that she authors a fantasy football column for Wegryn Enterprises and has appeared on the Jumbotron at Nationals Park as a junior in-game host.
