Co-Director of Education Policy

Catherine Kane is from Falls Church, VA, and is a junior at Falls Church High School. At school, she is active in the orchestra department and the Best Buddies club, an organization that promotes friendships and inclusion between people with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities. Catherine joined GGI as an Education Policy Fellow and worked on the DCPS COVID-19 Preparedness, Protection, and Recovery (PPR) plan as well as the Broadband Access for Rural Students (BARS) Policy Plan Analysis during her fellowship. She is passionate about student involvement in education policy and the mobilization of youth advocacy to bring perspective to the lawmaking process.
