Henry Farnham

Co-Director of Education Policy

Henry is a first-year student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, studying public policy. At UNC, he is a member of Honors Carolina and an Accelerated Research Scholar. Henry is passionate about youth leadership, public service, and political advocacy; he plans to run for elected office someday. At Germantown Friends School, Henry was a Senior Class Representative on Student Council, the Head of Publicity and Media, as well as the Grant Writer, for the Philadelphia Youth Film Festival, a board member for Polyphony Literary Magazine, a Witness and Attorney on the GFS Mock Trial Team, and a member of both Lobbying Club and Political Dialogue Club. In addition, Henry plays flute and piccolo, sings baritone, and has conducted the GFS Upper School Orchestra and Choir. Outside of school, Henry has served as an intern in the Office of State Representative Chris Rabb for over two years and is the Founder and President of Pass the Torch, a nonprofit working to make opportunities in politics and advocacy accessible to young people. In addition, Henry has played ice hockey since he was five years old. When he is not doing one of the above activities, Henry loves spending time with his friends, which often involves a trip for dim sum.
