Haerin is the Co-Director of Strategic Planning and Public Outreach at The Greater Good Initiative. A Northern Virginia native, Haerin is a strong student advocate, creator, and strategist with a passion for political engagement and social impact-oriented initiatives. She manages GGI’s social media, creates graphics, develops partnerships, leads outreach campaigns, and has been a director since GGI was founded in April 2020.A senior at Chantilly High School, she is the President of Chantilly DECA, captain of the Congressional debate team, Under-Secretary-General of Model UN, and a class board representative. On the county level, she represents a diverse population of over 188,000 students across Fairfax County Public Schools as an At-Large Student Representative. Haerin has also founded SHEDIDTHAT!, a youth-and-female-led organization working to empowers girls of the futures with stories of professional women today. She has a wide range of political and strategic experiences; she worked directly on FairMapsVA’s advocacy in successfully establishing a historic bipartisan redistricting commission in Virginia, and promoted ranked choice voting in young voters through her past internship with FairVote Virginia.In her limited free time, you can find Haerin greeting customers at her part-time hostess job, adding to her monthly Spotify playlist, or playing around with different color schemes and fonts. She will be attending the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business and intends to study Business Economics and Public Policy in the fall.
